Harvesting Radish Seedlings

It’s always tinged with heartbreak and guilt when I thin seedlings. This morning the kids got alongside me in the dirt to pick which ones would get the chance to grow and which wouldn't.

These young radishes had already started developing their colorful root and we couldn't let them go to waste so I washed them off, pinched off just below the red of the root and served them over eggs for breakfast. They were Delicious!
